BUILDING PERMITS:  Permits are required for all new construction, additions or alterations.  Call Building Inspector Don Fox, (262) 878-3358, Monday - Friday 6 a.m. - 7:30 a.m. for more information.

Fees(Revised 9/14/07)

$500.00-Performance bond over $10,000 value (same fee for residential/non-residential)

$100.00-Performance bond up to $10,000 value (same fee for residential/non-residential

$25.00-State sticker for new homes

$90.00-Property Number sign fee for new, missing or damaged beyond repair

$30.00-Plan review

$25.00-Building permit initial fee for any type building, alterations or additions

$ .20 per sq. ft. for new homes and additions

$ .10 per sq. ft. for remodeling and detached residential

$ .05 per sq. ft. for agricultural buildings

$ .03 per sq. ft. for new plumbing in any structure

$25.00-Plumbing permit initial fee plus $5.00 per fixture or water connection for replacement

$ .03 per sq. ft. for electric permit on any type building, alteration or addition ($25.00 minimum)

$ .03 per sq. ft. for new heating in any structure

$25.00-Heating permit for replacement furnace

$25.00-A/C permit for new/replacement central air conditioning

$25.00-Fireplace permit for new/replacement

$50.00-Pool permit

$25.00-Deck permit

$25.00-Erosion control permit

$25.00-Culvert permit (except County Highways)

$50.00-for moving a building

$80.00-for razing a residence

$40.00-for razing an out building

$ 4.00 per 1000 cubic feet of commercial buildings ($20.00 minimum)

Record maintenance fee will be applied

There will be a $15.00 charge per inspection visit after 7 visits.  After 2 failed inspections, there will be a $15.00 re-inspection charge.

NSF checks will have a $20.00 charge added, the job will be red tagged and all work stopped

DOUBLE PERMIT FEES IF WORK STARS BEFORE PERMITS ARE ISSUED

All bonds refunded to property owner upon satisfactory completion of project.
